Hello everybody
first of all a quick personal update to let you know why I have not been posting this past month or so, followed by this years first post on the energies of the months and year ahead and the quality of major change that this year brings.
Personal Update
The last time I posted was just before Christmas. I had organized things so that I would be able to take some time off from sessions with healing clients and the idea was that I would rest a couple weeks and then resume writing, both here on Substack and on some personal projects I am working on. However, things did not quite go as planned, as just before just before Christmas, I noticed that a lump on my kitty Missy’s back had doubled in size almost overnight (Missy is my little feline companion, who has been with me for the past 16 years, my little furry sidekick). The vet and I had initially thought that this bump was a cyst, but, seen the lump rapid increase, the vet scanned her and tested her extensively and said that the lump was a tumor, which needed to be removed and biopsied as soon as possible.
This resulted in Missy having to have surgery just a few days after Christmas. The surgery had some complications and was a much bigger ordeal than anticipated. As such Missy needed extensive post op care. So I spent most of my holiday vacation time in kitty nurse mode, taking care of my little feline friend, who was wobbling around with about 25 surgical stitches on her back, very weak and unstable on her feet. I am still waiting for the results of the biopsy, so we don’t yet know if the tumor was cancer or not. However luckily Missy seems to have recovered from the surgery, without too much lingering a fallout.
Immediately after Missy became strong enough to fend for herself I came down with a very serious flu, that took me out for almost 3 weeks. In fact even now, it lingers. Sore throat, lung shattering cough, lung pain and on off fever for weeks. So I really had no energy for writing. However, there have been many things that I did want to write about and I will try to catch up over the next few weeks. So giving you a heads up that we may go from no posts at all to too many posts over the next few weeks as I catch up and then hopefully we can come back to a more normal rhythm. Ideally I would like to write a post every week or every ten days.
The Current and Incoming Planetary Energies - A Year of Transition
Now. Moving on from the personal stuff. Much has been occurring since the beginning of the year. Many changes at the geopolitical level, which will continue to be intense until the end of March and beyond. Generally this year will be a time of big changes, that will continue until the middle of 2026. By mid 2026 we will start to stabilize into the manifestations and systems that the current planetary energies will bring.
Between now and until the middle of next year all is about the outer planets Pluto, Uranus and Neptune completing their journey in their current signs and transitioning in to the new signs that they will embody for many years to come. This year, 2025, is very unique, in the sense that all the outer planets are changing signs at the same time. By mid 2026 we will have a completely different outer planet configuration as the backdrop of our experience. Translated into non astrological language, this is a time of collective shift in which the old ends and the new is born, where we travel from one collective chapter to the next. In fact, while it is normal for outer planets to change sign, as part of their normal cycle, it is rare for all three outer planets to change sign over such a short period of time. The outer planets are the clocks of our collective shared evolution and this outer planet change signals major changes at the collective level, happening very quickly, over multiple areas of our shared consciousness and life.
The changes that we are experiencing and about to experience over the next 18 months or so will be history making changes. At some point we will look back and we will better understand things that at the moment may seem confusing and chaotic, but that are ultimately moving us to higher octaves of collective experience. We will also likely experience the long awaited timeline shift during this time.
Back to the planets…
Here is an overview of the planetary activities of this year
Pluto just moved permanently into Aquarius at the end of November 2024 (after 16 years in Capricorn) and it will stay in Aquarius from now until 2044 - Making this a 20 year stay of Pluto in the sign of Aquarius - this alone is a major shift in energy where the power moves from the established order to the people, as well as empowering major technological advances for good or ill. Technology and the people that create it, own it, use it and sell it will be center stage for the next 20 years. You can look at my prior posts on Pluto in Aquarius for further details and I will expend on this in future posts too.
Neptune is now completing its time in Pisces, where it has been since 2011, and, at the end of March, it will begin its transition into Aries, where it will stay until 2039. This year Neptune will still be going back and forth between the two signs, dipping back into Pisces between October 2025 and Jan 2026.. Neptune will settle permanently in Aries at the end of January 2026, where it will stay for the next thirteen years. As such 2025 is a transition year for Neptunian things, both personally and collectively. Neptunian things → How we express spirituality, trends, fashion, music, TV, the ideals we embrace, and our delusions and blind spots will go from nebulous, watery, feminine, compassionate, addicted and boundary-less Pisces into fiery, masculine, individualist, action driven, marsian, blustery Aries. Aries marks the beginning of a new astrological cycle, so a whole new cycle of being starts for all things Neptune now.
Uranus will be completing its time in Taurus, where it has been since 2018, and it will begin its seven year long journey into Gemini in July of this year. It will move permanently into Gemini in April 2026, with a brief dip back into Taurus between November 2025 and April 2026. Hence this is a transition time for all Uranian things also, as Uranus will not fully settle into Gemini until next year. Uranus is moving from an Earth sign into an Air sign, where it will move much faster and with more ease. Expect explosions of ideas and innovations during this time, as Uranus brings sparks of the new and flashes of insight to all Gemini things - this will be a time of expansion of the mind, ideas, communication, and transmission of information. Coupled with Pluto in Aquarius this will be aided by new technologies, such as for example AI.
Saturn is completing its time in Pisces and will be moving into Aries, alongside Neptune, in April 2025. It will stay in Aries for a few months after which it will dip back into Pisces in September 2025. It will move permanently into Aries in February 2026. Notice how many planets permanently settle into their new signs in the first four months 2026. Our collective lives will look very different by the middle of next year.
Jupiter is completing its time in Gemini and will move permanently into Cancer in June 2025 and will stay in this sign for a year. By the middle of 2026, Jupiter will move into Leo, so by the time all the outer planets are settle in their new signs, Jupiter will contribute fire energy to the outer planet air and fire mix.
The Nodal Axis has already moved from Aries/Libra to Pisces/Virgo this January and will stay in these signs for the next 18 months.
So as you can see this is a big year of transition where all the planets from Jupiter out and the nodes just have or are about to change signs. By mid 2026 all said planets will be permanently settled into their new signs, giving us a very different astrological landscape from many years ahead.
As we go through these planetary transitions, what can we expect?
First of all, we can expect some end of signs madness. As big slow moving planetary bodies inch towards the end of their signs, all that is still incomplete about the learning offered by those signs amplifies, with a last hurrah of the energies. And since we have so many planets doing this at the same time this year, between now and April, and then again in the fall/winter, we will have this happening in multiple areas of life both personally and collectively.
Additionally, we will have a lot of hints as to the new and next phase of human evolution - In this new phase Pluto will be in Aquarius, Neptune will be in Aries, and Uranus will be in Gemini - We will be experiencing a major shift from the Water and Earth energies of the last fifteen years into the Fire and Air energies of the next chapter. Also for those that follow the dwarf planets, Sedna just went into Gemini last year, after being in Taurus since the 1960s, adding more long range air to the mix. We have also had Haumea, who was in Libra since 1993 change signs at the end of 2023. Haumea, the dwarf planet of birth and creation is now fully settled in Scorpio, where it will stay for the next twenty-four years. In Scorpio, the sign of death and rebirth, Haumea will oversee intense plutonian creation processes. She will be channeling Hawaiian Goddess Pele for the next few decades, with all her fiery passion, hinting of dramatic and intense birth of the new, rising from the ashes of the past.
In the next few articles I will go into more detail on what we can expect for each of the outer planet changes, as there is much to say about each one, both regrading what we learned and experienced as a collective as the outer planets transited their current signs and about what we may experience as they transition and settle into their new ones.
Until then wishing you all a great week
Katie

As usual, clear and well laid out. Thank you. Personally I'm grateful that Neptune is leaving Pisces - it squaring my sun and played with my Saturn for years and years.
